In Facebook’s eyes, all engagement is not equal. It is great to get “likes” and “shares”, but if you can get someone to write something on your post Facebook sees this favourably. This raises your EdgeRank (learn what EdgeRank is here) with them, or where they choose to display your posts on other’s news feeds. Of course the more they like you and what you post, the higher and more often they will display your updates to others.
So how can you get more engagement on Facebook?
Which questions get the most answers?
Those that start with “Should”, “Would” or “Which”? The more open-ended a question the more time it takes to think of an answer. Be smart but don’t write something that involves too much thought to engage. (We are all busy right?)
Takeaway Tip: Ask 1-2 questions per week on your Facebook page.
